- Les Gets is a charming ski resort in the Haute Savoie region of the French Alps. The pretty French village is at 1200m with lifts taking you up to 2000m of altitude and the resort is known for its picturesque tree lined runs and magnificent views and scenery overlooking the Mont Blanc range. It is linked to the extensive ‘Portes du Soleil’ Ski area.

There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, including the popular La R’mize, and Restaurant Le Tourbouillon for a more traditional Savoyard menu.
- Every January, Les Gets hosts the largest most challenging annual dog sledding race in the world. La Grande Odysee welcomes 25 mushers and 300 marathonian Husky dogs, who race for a total of 12 days under Mont Blanc covering over 700km of trails with a height difference of 21,000m. The Ladies Night Tour is a huge event held every year in February, aimed at promoting women’s skiing in a fun and innovative way with a parallel slalom night race on Le Pleney piste. There is always a great atmosphere and national athletes from all over the world attend as this event is now part of the Winter Olympics. Ski Colour combines skiing with fun with skiers being covered in multicoloured powder in a celebration of good times, and finally, Snowboxx in Les Gets is a week-long music event with concerts and a lively atmosphere on the mountains and in the village.
