- Meribel is a popular ski resort nestled in the beautiful Alpine valley of Les Allues in France. The Meribel valley is one of the most popular destinations for skiers from all over the world, and consists of picture postcard chalets and chalet-style apartment buildings and hotels. The village has the charm of a traditional mountain village with its wood and stone buildings and forest setting.
- Fast modern ski lifts offer easy access to the Meribel ski area with over 150km of pistes from an altitude of 1450m up to 1700m. Meribel is linked to the 3 Valleys ski area which includes two other resorts of Courchevel and Val Thorens. A 3 valley lift pass allows access to over 600km of pistes. Meribel has terrain for all levels of skier from beginners on its 8 green and 25 blue runs, to more advanced skiers on 24 red and 7 black runs. There is also plenty of off piste terrain for the adventurous and the 3 valleys have two of the best snow parks in Europe.
- Meribel offers a wide variety of restaurants and is famous for its apres-ski and party nightlife. The mid-afternoon apres-ski on the mountain side is very popular at Le Rond Point or Le Folie Douce. For the night owls, O’Sullivans is popular as are Evolution and Jack’s Bar.
- Meribel & the 3 valleys hosts events during the year including the annual Santa Claus Torchlight Descent, the 3 valleys Enduro ski, snowboard & Tele mark competition in April, and the Andros Trophy, a high speed ice driving competition that tours through the Alps. New Year’s eve is a big night out in Meribel with most bars and restaurants offering tickets to special events.
